Day 9. Delphos to Bucyrus Ohio. 79 miles

The forecast for today was rain, so I left a little early hoping to miss it. Fortunately, it worked. The rain started about an hour after we got to Bucyrus.
I had a few miscues leaving, but once out of Delphos, all went well. I made friends with a dog along the way. He came out chasing me and I just yelled NO at him and he became my friend, following me down the road for awhile, happy as could be.
My next encounter was with a possum. He was crossing the road and when I tried to go around him, he turned and came after me. He got about a foot away, with his mouth wide open and teeth showing. They have big mouths!
Another chance to draft a tractor today. It makes for a nice little break.
I decided to stop for an apple break late in the morning. As I finished, a truck was coming my way so I decided to wait for him to get by. He slowed and leaned out his window and asked if everything was alright - another example of the caring and thoughtfulness of people.
My day ended at noon. Had a nice dinner. Looking forward to tomorrow.
The pictures below are a mural on two buildings in Bucyrus......this is an example of Midwest graffiti!!!
