Day 8. Huntington to Delphos Ohio. 73 miles

Another great day of biking. It seemed to go really quickly. Crops are still dIstressed and the corn much shorter. There seem to be more soybeans in this area.
I got to draft a tractor for about a mile and a half. It was fun and the farmer liked it too, giving a thumbs up when he turned off the road.
A couple of dogs came out to greet me at one house. When I came into view, they turned and tripped over each other, heading into the bushes to hide. I don't think they had seen a bike before. Two other dogs followed me down the road later, but gave up after awhile.
I ran into a detour near the end of the day. I rode down to check it out. The young guy working was really nice and told me how to go and stay out of the high traffic route. He was so concerned when I left, saying he wished he could know that I made it safely to Delphos. What a great country of caring people.
Nice to be in Ohio. Always fun to change states.
