Day 6 Kankakee to Rochester IN. (July 4). 102 miles

    Feeling good - did a century today! It wasn't part of the original plan, but hotel issues came into play.
     I crossed into Indiana about 6 a.m. A lot of water damage again. There were many ponds in fields that look like they will stay for awhile. An abundance of mosquitoes showed up if you stopped.
     For you out there that know a Tyler or are a Tyler, I crossed the Tippecanoe River today.
     One funny thing today. As I was biking along, a pickup with a boat hooked to the back, slowed to my pace. As we rolled down the road, a nice young man leaned out his window and asked if  I would like to buy a snapping turtle. I  politely declined the offer and off they went, a smile on all our faces.
