Day 5 Wenona to Kankakee ILL. 70 miles

     Another nice day. I saw a lot of crop damage and remnants of flooding along the way. A few cities have postponed fireworks because of it. Other than that scenery remains the same.
     The highlight today was seeing Route 66 appear again, if only for a brief time.
     Lots of time to ponder today. I realized I have forgotten a lot of the words to songs.
     My deep thought for the day: In life, as in biking, it is important to seize even the small advantages ( no wind, tailwind, downhills) because they can disappear as quickly as they appeared.
