Day 6. Pepin Wis to La Crosse Wis. 73 miles

A perfect day - no wind, weather and roads great, and beautiful scenery along the river and bluffs. I even got to see a bald eagle up close - amazing. There was just one glitch with road construction, but that just added alittle excitement to the day. Best yet, I beat my SAG to the hotel.
Larry also got close to an eagle nest. Look who's guarding it.

I had ample time for pondering today. The following subject matter is based on events and factual details from the preceding day:

Dreaming of chocolate milk and tea,
I looked up ahead to see
What to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and one tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver so lively and hairy,
I knew right away it must be Larry.

Chocolate milk and sandwich- what a great treat!
