Day 4 Visalia to Bakersfield CA 96 miles

  Another day of fruit and nut farms. It was a long day - 12.5 hours. A slipped chain and missing road signs didn't help. Thank heavens for  2 bikers who helped me find my way.
  Nothing too exciting today.  I did maneuver around a 4 ft. Rattlesnake that was in my path. He was just out enjoying the sand and sun.
  Larry was great today. He brought lunch about half way through the day.  Much needed!
